Different Aspects of Comparison

European Qualification Framework (EQF)

The reference points used, as described in the AEHESIS-project, are levels 1-4. These levels should be comparable to levels 3-7 on the EQF-scale. There is no decision that a specific coaching level should correspond to a certain level on EQF-scale, rather it should be transparent on what level in relation to the EQF-scale the coach education is on. Read more about the EQF-scale.

European Framework for Recognition of Coaching Competencies and Qualification (EFRCCQ)

The reference point used is the 4x4 structure, thereby increasing the oppurtunities in the labor market. The domains have been defined and the levels of coach education have been expanded in order to increase the quality of the sporting activity for participants, who have different intents with their sporting activity. Thus both creating a labor market need and aligning the coach education with the Copenhagen  process. Watch this graphic representation of the EFRCCQ-dimension.

ECTS and ECVET units

–The reference points used are described in AEHESIS-project. Briefly these can be seen as a  quantitative description of the learning-time needed to aquire the competency/learning outcome. This is based on the understanding of the integration of different types of learning activities, such as lecturing, seminars, workshops, reading-time, practical experience (trial and errror) and self-reflexion time and it´s relationship to utilizing the resources that are made available in the course.
