Needs analysis

The needs analysis has been a continuous process that started in the first work-package and has been refined over time. It is based on the intent of the project to make the national sport coach education systems more transparent for comparative reasons. The descriptors used for comparison are the previously stated:

  • EQF-scale
  • EFRCCQ-domains
  • Learning-time based on ECTS and ECVET-units

Throughout the process it has been important to both define coaching and contextualize the focus of coach education in order to keep the focus on the developing learning outcomes relevant to the occupation of sport coach. The learning outcomes are related to all three parameters in both a qualitative- and quantitative-way.
